A Rising Star

In 2023 Terrence was selected by Cincinnati Magazine as a "Power 100 Rising Star" for his work as the Executive Director of A Kid Again SW - Ohio Chapter.  

​

A Kid Again Southwest Ohio is a children’s charity based in Cincinnati, Ohio.  That serves families who are raising children living with life-threatening conditions across the southwest region of Ohio. They provide cost-free, fun-filled destination events throughout the year.  Through these Adventures, families can take a break from doctor visits and hospital stays and enjoy quality time together.

This is just one more way Terrence shows his purpose through his core beliefs.

Terrence Sherrer Sr. is the Director of the Middletown Area United Way, bringing over 20 years of nonprofit experience. His mission is to build strong relationships that help families and communities grow together.

Building Bridges and Changing Lives

At United Way, Terrence leads efforts to fight poverty, mentor youth, and connect families to community resources. His focus on teamwork and compassion continues to strengthen Middletown.

Breaking Barriers

As the first African American Executive Director of the Middletown YMCA, Terrence revitalized the branch through inclusion and community engagement.

Investing in the Next Generation

Terrence has mentored more than 3,000 youth through programs like Youth Excursion, college tours, and speed mentoring. His goal is to give young people the tools to lead and succeed.
